Hot Bluing

Hot Bluing

from 175.00

The hot bluing process creates a black oxide (blue) surface that allows oil to adhere to it.  To prevent rusting, a good oil must be applied after each handling.

  • Matte Finish: The gun is bead blasted, then hot blued with Oxynate 7. This creates a non-reflective finish, often used by hunters.

  • Deluxe Finish: The gun is hand polished with 400 grit emery cloth and then hot blued with Oxynate 7. This creates a deep black finish more commonly found on expensive factory/custom firearms.

PLEASE NOTE! If the metal on your firearm is severely pitted or scratched, a charge of $75.00 per hour will be added to remove the pits and scratches. It may NOT be possible to remove all pits and scratches. Prices listed DO NOT INCLUDE shipping and insurance.
